Highs & Lows: a series of eight small works produced in quarantine as a way of adapting to the chaos and turmoil around us all.
Highs & Lows consists of eight smaller works, sized 24” x 20”. These pieces are created on raw unprimed canvas, giving them a natural and organic feel. Taking great inspiration from automatism and action painters I have created works that not only speak a language of uncertainty, but also celebrate a lack of control through vibrant colors and wandering lines. These mixed media pieces are brought to life with ink, acrylic, watercolor pencil, graphite, chalks and pastels, marker, and gold leafing meaning the texture is not only raw, but also very unique.
This painting gives back!
Because of the negative economic impact of this pandemic, especially in regards to Non- profits I have decided to give back a percentage of proceeds from the sale of each piece. For each work purchased from this collection I will be donating 30% to Rice bowls - an organization providing meals for orphaned children around the world. The work they do is so important !
